Abstract:

In view of the pronounced inconsistency of published data on the boiling point of tetraethyllead, its value was determined by several independent calculation procedures. Simultaneously, data on the molar volume of liquid tetraethyllead at the boiling point, lacking in the literature, were obtained

A Simpie Criterion of Thermodynamic Similarity for Molecular Inorganic Compounds.

Source: Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, Volume 75, Number 12, December 2003, pp. 1961-1965(4)

Abstract:

The new determining criterion of thermodynamic similarity was suggested and used to obtain correlations that ensure reliable prediction of the physicochemical properties of molecular inorganic compounds on the bases of a single experimental characteristic of a substance, its boiling temperature.By means of this criterion correlations have been developed for calculation of critical constants, density of liquids, pressure saturated vapourr and other properties. Reliability of correlations was confirmed by comparison calculated and experimental data for 50 substances.

Calculating Density of Molecular Liquids Using Agrawal-Thodos Equation

Author: Sladkov I.B.1

Source: Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, Volume 75, Number 11, November 2002, pp. 1770-1773(4)

Publisher: MAIK Nauka Interperiodica

Abstract:

The correlation between the parameters of the Agrawal-Thodos equation, the fundamentalconstants of a substance are established. A modified equation is proposed, in which the minimum set of easily measurable properties of the substance is used as input data.
